copy for a number of clients, including editorial copy for Texas Monthly Super Lawyers, radio ad copy and in-store promotional pieces for Abuelo's Mexican
Restaurants, brochures and collateral packages for Benefit Systems (a third-party financial services provider); Web site, media relations and online advertising for Ann
McIntosh, counselor and therapist; Web site for Sue Legacy, counselor and therapist; marketing strategy, Web strategy and copy for Condos Austin Style, Web site and SEO for Home Theatre Guru.
I was Director of
Marketing for Austin-based Slack & Davis law firm for almost five years, producing a
variety of communications, from print and broadcast to Web. Project
included newsletters, brochures, TV ads, newspaper ads, Web sites,
e-mail communications, industry promotions and media relations on the
national and international level.
For two years, I was senior copywriter for AvreaFoster Advertising, an Omnicom Group agency, producing a
variety of communications, from print and broadcast to Web. Project
included direct mail, newsletters, brochures, magazine ads, Web sites,
e-mail communications, industry promotions and media relations. AvreaFoster's clients included Southwest Airlines, Fidelity Investments, EDS (Electronic Data Systems), i2 Software and Compaq Computers.
As Program Administrator for Temerlin McClain (now called TM), I supervised teams that created communications for the American Airlines AAdvantage program's 14 million members worldwide, including newsletters, direct mail, brochures, first-generation Web site, NetSAAvers e-mails and more.
As Director of Communications for Brierley & Partners, I oversaw the Dallas creative team that produced collateral and direct mail for the United Airlines Silver Wings Plus senior market travel program and the On Call Vacations up-scale traveler programs, and worked on other direct mail, e-mail communiques and Web 1.0 sites for major clients such as Brinks Home Security and Hertz.
As copywriter / project manager for Rapp Collins Worldwide, I led a team of writers (including myself) that produced a series of nine newsletters every two weeks for members of the American Express "Express Weekends" Travel program. In addition, I worked on Continental Airlines newsletters and direct mail to OnePass members and on Mexicana Airlines "Frequenta" newsletters and direct mail.
Texas Tourism Division
As Program Administrator for the Texas Travel and Tourism Division, I wrote and produced a variety of materials promoting travel to Texas. GSD&M was the advertising agency that handled the print ads. I did not work for GSD&M, but worked with their account team and wrote copy for some of the pieces that were produced. In addition, I wrote and placed articles about Texas travel destinations in national publications.
